昨年は“Destiny”がGOTYに相当するベストゲームを獲得し、お馴染み“Monument Valley”と“The Last of Us: Left Behind”が最多受賞を果たした英国映画テレビ芸術アカデミー（BAFTA）のゲームアワードですが、本日「BAFTA Games Awards 2016」全17部門のノミネート作品がアナウンスされ、The Chinese Roomの最新作“Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture”が10部門に選出され、見事最多ノミネートを果たしたことが明らかになりました。

また、今年は“The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt”と“Her Story”が7部門ノミネートを記録しており、“Batman: Arkham Knight”と“Life is Strange”、“Rocket League”が5部門に選出されるなど、2015年の豊作ぶりが感じられる興味深いラインアップとなっています。

なお、授賞式は4月7日にロンドンのTobacco Dockで執り行われ、人気コメディアンでゲーマーでもあるダラ・オブリエンがホストを務めるほか、当日はTwitchを利用したライブ配信も行われるとのこと。
