昨晩、CD PROJEKTのデジタルプラットフォーム「GOG」が16周年を祝う新たな取り組み「GOG Preservation Program」をアナウンスし、現行システムと未来の世代に向けて、数々のクラシックが常に問題無く動作するよう互換性を維持するプログラムを開始したことが明らかになりました。

「GOG Preservation Program」は、GOGが独自のチームと品質基準を用意し、厳選したゲームコレクションの機能的改善と互換性の確保を図り、（動作するプラットフォームの影響を強く受ける）クラシックゲームの保存性を高めるためのプログラムで、基準を満たしたタイトルにはシルバーの“Good Old Game”バッジが付与され、Windows 11を含む現行PC向けの動作を維持するビルドがリリースされます。

また、第1弾の対応タイトルとして、100本規模のクラシックが再リリースされる予定で、既に89タイトルが“GOG Preservation Program”に対応しており、今後もさらにカタログを拡張することが判明しています。
