本日、SteamWorldシリーズで知られる“Image & Form”と、FeやZombie Vikingsを生んだ“Zoink Games”がスタジオの合併をアナウンスし、新スタジオ「Thunderful」を設立したことが明らかになりました。

何れもスウェーデンのヨーテボリを拠点とするImage & FormとZoink Gamesは、今後“Thunderful”の下でそれぞれ同名のレーベルとして存続し、既存のフランチャイズと新IPの開発を継続するとのこと。

両スタジオの合併に伴い、“Thunderful”は46名規模のスタジオとなり、2018年はより大きなオフィスへの移転を計画しているほか、リソースの有効的な共有による大規模なゲームプロジェクトを視野に入れると報じられています。
