本日、Penny Arcadeが9月12日から20日に掛けてシアトルで実施を予定していた大規模イベント「PAX West 2020」の中止を正式にアナウンスし、同じく中止となった“PAX Aus 2020”を統合する新たな代替オンラインイベント「PAX Online」を9月12日から20日に掛けて実施することが明らかになりました。

“PAX West 2020”と“PAX Aus 2020”の中止は、コミュニティの安全と健康を優先したことによる決定で、9日間に及ぶ無料イベント“PAX Online”の開催期間中は、3つチャンネルを通じて多数のパネルディスカッションやコンサート、コンテストの配信が行われるほか、幾つかのeスポーツトーナメント、オンラインのグッズ販売、プレイアブルなデモの配信が行われるほか、PAXコミュニティ間のコミュニケーションを可能にする新たな取り組みを進めているとのこと。
