本日Appleが実施したイベント“It’s Show Time”にて、MacとiPhone/iPad、Apple TVを対象とするビデオゲームのサブスクリプションサービス「Apple Arcade」を正式にアナウンスし、150を超える国と地域で今秋のサービス開始を予定していることが明らかになりました。

“Apple Arcade”は、100種を超える新作と独占タイトルを提供する新たなビデオゲームのサブスクリプションサービスで、ゲームの進行がデバイス間で共有されるほか、Annapurna InteractiveやGiant Squid Studios、Klei Entertainment、Finji、Ustwo Gamesといったスタジオとの提携、オフライン対応、ゲーム内購入/ゲーム内広告無しといった要素を特色としています。

また、サービスの発表に併せて、独占タイトルを含む多彩な対応タイトルのラインアップが報じられており、Monument Valleyを生んだustwoの新作「Repair」をはじめ、Klei Entertainmentの溶岩アクション「Hot Lava」、Abzuを生んだGiant Squid Studiosの新作「The Pathless」、Simogoファン待望の新作「Sayonara Wild Hearts」、Snowmanの可愛いナラティブパズルゲーム「Where Cards Fall」といった数々の注目作に加え、“Florence”を生んだMountainsの新作を控えていることが判明しています。
