先日、発売一周年を迎え、アニバーサリー映像と何やら示唆的な文言を刻んだダイナミックテーマがお披露目されたSIE Santa Monica Studioの新生「God of War」ですが、新たにSIEが本作の復活と開発、劇的な成功にスポットを当てるドキュメンタリー「God of War: Raising Kratos」のアナウンストレーラーを公開し、まもなく本編のお披露目を予定していることが明らかになりました。

なお、この予告映像の最後には、本編とは衣装が異なる（小手に包帯が巻かれていない、上半身裸など）クレイトスが謎の足音に振り返るシーンが収録されており、すわ続編かそれともプリクエルかと注目を集める状況となっていましたが、Cory Barlog氏によると、このシーンは“God of War III Remastered”に仕込む予定だった新生“God of War”のティザートレーラーとして作成されたプリレンダフッテージで、ディスク容量の問題から製品版に実装することが出来なかった未使用シーンを今回改めて使用したとのこと。
