先月下旬にノミネートのファン投票がスタートし、先日から部門別のノミネート作品が順次アナウンスされていた「Steam アワード 2022」ですが、本日SteamがGOTYのノミネート作品をアナウンスし、「ELDEN RING」と「Dying Light 2: Stay Human」、「Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II」、「Stray」、「God of War」が見事GOTY候補となったことが明らかになりました。

また、本日の発表に伴い、全部門のノミネート作品が出揃っており、本日深夜に迎える“Steamオータムセール”の始動に併せて最終的な投票が開始される予定となっています。（※ 各部門の受賞作品発表は2023年1月4日午前3時）
