8月14日から8月21日に掛けて、Epic Gamesストアで1週間限定の無料配布が実施されたGunfire Gamesの人気サバイバルアクション「Remnant: From the Ashes」ですが、新たにGunfire GamesのEpic Gamesストアにおける本作の配布規模を報告し、なんと無料配布分だけで1,000万本を突破したことが明らかになりました。

なお、“Remnant: From the Ashes”の販売規模については、今年7月中旬にPS4とXbox One、PC全てを合算した累計販売が160万本を突破したと報じられており、Epic Gamesストアによる無料配布の驚くべき訴求力が窺える状況となっていました。

余談ながら、先日発売と同時に24時間限定の無料配布を実施したTotal WarのSagaシリーズ最新作“Total War Saga: TROY”は、無料配布分だけで750万本を突破しており、Creative Assemblyが新旧のストラテジープレイヤーを多くシリーズに迎えることができたと報告していました。
