昨年5月にモバイル対応がアナウンスされ、8月にはフィリピンで小規模な技術テストが行われた傑作サバイバル「Frostpunk」ですが、当初“Frostpunk Mobile”と呼ばれていたモバイル版の続報が待たれるなか、新たに11 Bit StudiosとNetEase Gamesがモバイル版の名称変更を発表し、タイトル名を「Frostpunk: Beyond the Ice」に改めたことが明らかになりました。

また、初の地域限定アルファテストもアナウンスされ、4月20日よりオーストリアとニュージーランド、フィリピンでGoogle Play専用のテストを実施することが判明しています。

なお、まもなく始動するアルファテストは、自由度の高い都市デザインと建築がゆったりと楽しめるSerenityモードに加え、ゲーム内通貨やブーストアイテムを含むゲーム内ショップといったコンテンツが導入される予定で、さらなる続報に改めて期待が掛かる状況となっています。
