2022年10月に、パフォーマンスモードや4K解像度の品質改善を含む新世代機向けアップデートがアナウンスされた「Fallout 4」ですが、その後の続報が待たれるなか、新たにBethesdaが2023年内を予定していた新世代機アップデートの配信延期を発表。新たな実装時期を2024年に変更したことが明らかになりました。

Thank you for your patience with us as we work on the Fallout 4 next-gen update. We know you're excited, and so are we! But we need a bit more time and look forward to an exciting return to the Commonwealth in 2024.

なお、PS5とXbox Series X|S、PC向けの新世代機アップデートは、高フレームレート動作のパフォーマンスモードや4K解像度の品質改善、バグ修正、Creation Clubコンテンツを導入することがこれまでに報じられていました。
