2020年末にアニメシリーズ化が正式にアナウンスされ、製作総指揮を努めるヴィン・ディーゼルを筆頭に、ミシェル・ヨーやジェラルド・バトラー、デイヴィッド・テナント、ラッセル・クロウ、ジェフリー・ライト、カール・アーバン、エリオット・ペイジ、マルコム・マクダウェル、モニカ・ベルッチ、アラン・テュディックを含むとんでもない超豪華キャストが話題となった「ARK」アニメですが、新たにParamount+がアメリカとカナダを対象とするアニメ「ARK: The Animated Series」の配信開始を報告。その他のサービス提供地域では4月19日の放送開始を予定していることが明らかになりました。

本日解禁されたのは、シーズン1前半の6エピソード分で、後半の7エピソードも後日改めて公開される予定とのこと。

アニメ「ARK: The Animated Series」は、“ARK”のオリジンとヘレナ・ウォーカーの出自を描く新作アニメで、同じくヴィン・ディーゼルが製作を率いるナンバリング続編“ARK 2”に向けてオリジナルのロアを拡張・補完する作品になると見られていました。
