早いもので今年も残すところわずか数日となり、豊作だった一年を総括する話題が続いていますが、海外では年末恒例の“The Game Awards”開催を経て、様々なメディアのアワードやベストタイトルの発表が行われており、小島監督ファン待望の完全新作「Death Stranding」とFrom Softwareの新たな傑作「SEKIRO: Shadows Die Twice」、REエンジンで生まれ変わった「バイオハザード RE:2」を含む3本の国産タイトルが大量のGOTYを獲得しています。

余談ながら、記事執筆時点で英語圏外のメディアまで含む各種アワードにおいては、“Death Stranding”が約30、“SEKIRO: Shadows Die Twice”と“バイオハザード RE:2”が何れも20を超えるGOTYを獲得しており、次いでRemedy Entertainmentの新たな傑作“Control”がこれを追う状況となっています。
