先日、シーズン21の終了まで適用されるホラドリムの箱2倍イベントが始動した「Diablo III」ですが、新たにBlizzard Entertainmentがシーズン21の終了に先駆けて、来るシーズン22のPTR運用を予告。10月1日より2段階のフェーズでPTRテストを予定していることが明らかになりました。（フェーズ1：10月1日から、フェーズ2：10月8日から）

シーズン22は、新要素として2つの新報酬（ポートレートフレームとペット）に加え、Kanai’s Cubeに追加される4つ目のスロット（従来の3スロットとスタック不可）を導入するほか、用意された全てのクラスセットが利用可能となるHaedrig’s Giftsの仕様変更、Paragonの“Gold Find”ボーナスを1ポイント辺りピックアップ半径0.1％アップに差し替え、“Stone Gauntlets”の全クラス向けドロップ、Bone Spearを強化する新装備“Gelmindor’s Marrow Guards”、一部レジェンダリとセット装備のバランス調整といった変更を特色としています。

また、シーズン22“Guardian Journey”のシーズンバフは、Shrine/Pylonの起動時にプレイヤーと同一クラスのシャドウクローンが出現するというもので、クローンは予め用意された3つのビルドからランダム選出され、プレイヤーキャラクターに応じて強さがスケールするほか、効果が1分間（発動中に死亡した場合は消滅）持続する仕様となっており、各クラスのビルド3種が以下のように報じられています。

なお、BlizzardはPC版PTRの運用にあたって、大きなクラス変更のフィードバックを得るため、ウィザードのEtched SigilとHydra、クルセイダーのSteed Chargeビルド、Witch DoctorのCrazy Chickenビルドをプレイしてほしいとのこと。
