本日、2Kが国内外の公式サイトを更新し、8月28日に迎えた「Mafia」シリーズ誕生20周年を祝う開発者インタビューを公開。Hangar 13が遂にシリーズ最新作のプロジェクトを始動したことが明らかになりました。

これは、Hangar 13のゼネラルマネジャーRoman Hladík氏が明らかにしたもので、今のところ具体的なディテールは提示されておらず、数年先の発売を予定しているとのこと。

また、20周年を祝い、三部作の運命的な物語を振り返る本格的なアニバーサリートレーラーが公開されたほか、9月1日から5日に掛けて、初代“Mafia”の無料配布がSteamにて実施される予定となっています。

なお、2Kが公開した20周年記念インタビューには、Illusion Softworks時代を含むシリーズの開発に関する非常に興味深い内容がまとめられていますので、シリーズのファンはチェックをお忘れなく。
