警察官によるジョージ・フロイドさんの暴行殺人と未だ根深い黒人差別に対する世界的な抗議活動について、様々なビデオゲーム開発者やスタジオ、パブリッシャー達が声を上げる状況が続いていますが、先ほどRockstar Gamesが人種差別に対する抗議声明を発表し、ジョージ・フロイドさんの遺志に敬意を表し、黒人の権利を尊重すべく「Grand Theft Auto Online」と「Red Dead Online」へのアクセスを一時停止することが明らかになりました。

Rockstar Gamesの報告によると、アクセスの停止は本日6月4日ET午後2時から午後4時、日本時間の6月5日午前3時から午前5時までとなっています。
