先日、スクウェア・エニックスのE3ショーケース“Square Enix Presents Summer Showcase”にて、Eidos-Montréalが開発を手がけるガーディアンズ・オブ・ギャラクシーの新作ビデオゲームとしてアナウンスされた「Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy」ですが、新たにMarvelとTitan Booksが本作のアートワークを多数収録する公式ハードカバーアートブック「Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy – The Art of the Game」とゲーム本編のプリクエルを描く新作ノベル「Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy – No Guts, No Glory」をアナウンスし、何れも2021年11月2日の発売を予定していることが明らかになりました。（参考：国内Amazon Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: The Art of the Game、Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: No Guts, No Glory）

“Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy – The Art of the Game”は、アーティストや開発者の解説ともに、専用のコンセプトアートや広大な宇宙を構成するキャラクターのデザイン、衣装、ギア、船、クリーチャーたち、惑星、レベル環境を収録しています。

また、ゲーム本編に直接繋がるノベライズ“Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy – No Guts, No Glory”は、M.K. England氏が執筆を手がけ、スター・ロードとガモーラ、ドラックス、ロケット・ラクーン、グルートからなるガーディアンズが、レジスタンスの古い基地に侵入した不法占拠者を敷地外に“優しくエスコート”し、裏切り者の正体を暴く物語が描かれるとのこと。
