昨晩G4TVやGameTrailers、USA Today、IGNなどお馴染みの海外メディア35団体から構成されるGame Critics Awardsの“Best of E3 2011”が発表され、総合部門を始め計4部門でIrrational GamesのBioshock新作「BioShock: Infinite」が受賞を果たしたことが明らかになりました。

先日はGameTrailersのE3 Awardsでも総合ベストを始め多くのに部門に選出されたBioShock: Infiniteですが、Game Critics Awardsではノミネートされた4部門全てがベストタイトルに選ばれており、Ken Levine氏の新作にかかる期待と革新性が本物であることがひしひしと感じられます。

その他BethesdaのTESシリーズ新作「The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim」が2部門を受賞、ホリデーシーズンの直接対決に注目が集まるアクション部門では“Battlefield 3”が“Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3”を下し、ハードウェア部門ではPlayStation Vitaが受賞を果たすなど、今後の動向を含め非常に興味深い内容となっています。
