12月12日の開催と放送に向けて、プレミアやゲストの予告がスタートした年末恒例の大規模イベント「The Game Awards」ですが、先ほどGeoff Keighley氏がGOTYを含む部門別ノミネート作品を紹介する映像を公開し、今年はRemedyの新たな傑作「Control」と小島監督の新作「DEATH STRANDING」、「大乱闘スマッシュブラザーズ SPECIAL」、「バイオハザード RE:2」、そしてObsidianの野心作「アウター・ワールド」を含む5作品がGOTY候補となったことが明らかになりました。

また、“DEATH STRANDING”が最多となる8部門9ノミネートを果たしたほか、次いで“Control”が7部門8ノミネートを記録し、今年の賞レースをリードする状況となっています。

さらに部門別ノミネート作品の発表に伴い、公式サイトでコミュニティ投票の受付がスタートしていますので、年末の放送を楽しみにしている方は、予めお気に入りの作品に投票しておいてはいかがでしょうか。
