クィアなビデオゲームを専門に扱う“Gayming Magazine”が、EAやPlayStation、Xbox、Twitch等の協賛を得てビデオゲームを通じてLGBTQ+の人々を支援し、ゲーム業界の功績を称えるアワード「Gayming Awards」を設立し、記念すべき第1回「Gayming Awards 2021」の部門別ノミネート作品をアナウンスしました。

“Gayming Awards 2021”の授賞式は2021年2月24日ET正午/GMT午後8時（日本時間の2月25日午前5時）放送開始予定で、授賞式の実施に向けて“LGBTQ Streamer of the Year”と“Gayming Magazine Readers’ Award”の勝者を選出する一般投票の受付がスタートしています。

“Gayming Awards 2021”は、GOTYやインディ部門、オーセンティックな表現、キャラクター、ナラティブ、多様性等を含む8つの部門から構成され、本格的なロマンスを用意した傑作「Hades」とアニヤンを新キャラクターとして導入した「Final Fantasy VII Remake」、海外版に同性愛パートナーやノンバイナリな表現を導入した「あつまれ どうぶつの森」、トランスジェンダーをテーマに描いたアドベンチャー「Tell Me Why」がGOTY候補となっています。（最多ノミネートは“Tell Me Why”の5部門）

独創的な物語を描いたdreamfeelの「If Found…」、アクセシビリティや多様性の面でも革新的な取り組みを見せた「The Last of Us Part II」、人気ドラマ“グレイス&フランキー”のロバートとソルを想起させるような素晴らしいバカップルぶりを見せつけた「ボーダーランズ3: 銃と愛と触手をぶっ放せ！ ウェインライトとハマーロックの結婚式」DLCの選出も印象的な第1回“Gayming Awards 2021”のノミネート作品は以下からご確認ください。
