今年は2月8日から11日にかけて開催されるゲーム開発者の祭典D.I.C.E. Summitの一環として、例年行われているゲームのアカデミー賞とも評される第14回Interactive Achievement Awardsのノミネート作品が発表、年末の賞レースを席捲したRockstar Gamesの意欲作「Red Dead Redemption」が9部門に選出された事が明らかになりました。

また、Ninja Theoryが手掛けた西遊記テーマのアクションタイトル”Enslaved”、そしてソニーのサンタモニカスタジオが開発を手掛け、脅威的な表現力で世界中のゲーマーを驚かせた”God of War III”が6部門にノミネート、その他、Angry BirdsがGOTYにノミネートされるなど、非常に興味深いラインアップとなっています。

なお、前回のIAAにはNaughty Dogの”Uncharted 2: Among Thieves”が15部門ノミネートという記録を打ち立て、その内の10部門を受賞するという偉業を達成しました。
