先日、IGFの部門別ノミネート作品のラインアップをご紹介しましたが、新たにIGFと同じく今年に開催されるGDC 2016にて授賞式が行われる“2016 Game Developers Choice Awards”の部門別ノミネート作品がアナウンスされ、“The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt”と“Fallout 4”、“Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain”、“Bloodborne”、“Rocket League”の5作品が見事GOTY候補に選出されたことが明らかになりました。

今年は、4部門に選出された“The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt”と“Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain”が最多ノミネートを果たしたほか、“Fallout 4”と“Bloodborne”、“Star Wars Battlefront”、“Splatoon”、“Her Story”、“Undertale”がそれぞれ3部門にノミネートされており、2015年の豊作ぶりを示す興味深いラインアップとなっています。

なお、“2016 Game Developers Choice Awards”の授賞式は3月16日PT午後6時30分から8時30分（日本時間の3月17日午前11時30分から午後1時30分）まで、IGFの表彰式と併催され、JourneyやWattamで知られるお馴染みRobin Hunicke女史がホストを務めるほか、例年通りライブ配信も行われることが判明しています。
