先日、Geoff Keighley氏が昨年に続く今年の開催を示唆し話題となった大規模なデジタルビデオゲームフェスティバル「Summer Game Fest」ですが、昨晩Geoff Keighley氏が今年の開催を正式にアナウンスし、6月の実施を予定していることが明らかになりました。

今のことろ、今年の“Summer Game Fest”に関する詳細は不明ですが、今後数週間のうちに参加パブリッシャーやデベロッパのリストに加え、イベントスケジュールの概要がアナウンスされるとのこと。

また、“Day of the Devs: Summer Game Fest Edition”の併催も決定しており、Geoff Keighley氏とDouble Fine、iam8bitからなるDay of the Devsチームが厳選した注目のインディータイトルやAAAゲームの紹介を行うとのこと。

なお、昨年の“Summer Game Fest”は、5月から8月に掛けて4ヶ月もの期間開催され、多彩な新作のお披露目が行われたほか、数多くのデモ配信が実施され、E3の代替オンラインイベントとして話題となりました。
