先日、部門別のノミネート作品がアナウンスされ、Larian Studiosの傑作CRPG「バルダーズ・ゲート3」がGOTYを含む最多ノミネートを果たしていた“New York Video Game Awards 2024”ですが、本日予定通り本アワードの授賞式が開催され、「バルダーズ・ゲート3」がGOTYに相当する“Big Apple Award for Best Game of the Year”を含む2部門を制したことが明らかになりました。

また、高い評価を獲得したRemedy Entertainmentのシリーズ最新作「Alan Wake II」が“バルダーズ・ゲート3”と同様に最多2部門を制したほか、Tango Gameworksのリズムアクションゲーム「Hi-Fi RUSH」や“サイバーパンク2077”の大規模拡張パック「仮初めの自由」、「スーパーマリオブラザーズ ワンダー」、「Resident Evil 4」（BIOHAZARD RE:4）といった作品が受賞を果たしています。

なお、今年はNaughty Dogのお馴染みNeil Druckmann氏がAndrew Yoon Legend Awardを獲得しています。
